Me me me!

Clare Elsom is an illustrator based in the UK, working mainly in children's publishing.

She is the creator of Horace & Harriet, a young fiction series which is her debut as both author and illustrator, published by Oxford University Press.

Other projects include illustrating the Flying Fergus series, written by Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy and Joanna Nadin, and Furry Friends, a series from bestselling author Holly Webb. Clare has also illustrated dozens of other children's titles, worked with CBeebies, illustrated weekly columns in the Independent newspaper and created animated e-books for Persil.

She studied a BA in Illustration at Falmouth University (lots of drawing) and later completed an MA in Children's Literature at Roehampton University (lots of writing). Besides freelancing in illustration, she also worked for five years as an Illustration Agent.

Clare grew up in Oxford, lived in London and then ran away to beautiful Devon where she spends her free time tap-dancing, paddle boarding and drinking cinnamon lattes.
